These courses are aimed toward international students, adults, technicians, researchers, etc. (with exception to French language beginners) who want:
- to obtain and develop oral and written abilities in French and/or
- to prepare for the DELF and the DALF exams
Courses are created to help develop oral and written expression and comprehension abilities. The goal is an effective autonomy in using French by learning grammar, vocabulary and French culture. Diverse language activities are offered including exercise workbooks, exercise books and original documents (press, advertising, comics, literature, videos, etc.). Integrative excursions allow students to get to know the City of Lyon (markets, train stations, cafes, librairies and neighborhood visits, francophone week). Courses require the active participation of students.
On the first day of each session, we organize a mandatory test to evaluate your written and oral proficiency in French so that we can place you in the appropriate level group.
The DU of French Studies or the CLCF (Certificat de Langue et de Culture Françaises - French Language and Culture Certificate) corresponding to your language level will be provided at the end of the program. During the summer program, the Institute gives you the opportunity to take the DELF and DALF exams during the month of July alone.
Proof of enrollment
In the beginning of the program and after completion of the registration, we provide you with a proof of enrollment and a student identification card.
